Dec 9, 2025 | News, Scottish Power EA1N & EA2

We would like to inform you that ScottishPower Renewables (SPR) will be undertaking essential construction works on Sizewell Gap Road, Sizewell, Suffolk. These works form part of the East Anglia TWO offshore wind farm project and will involve the installation of access point 2 to facilitate our cable works.

To ensure public and workforce safety, temporary traffic management will be in place during the following periods. All traffic management arrangements have been approved by Suffolk County Council Highways.

To date, these works had been delayed due to unforeseen engineering challenges. They now require additional weekend working to complete them before the festive period.

Construction work will cease on our sites on the 24th of December and will open again on the 5th of January. During this shutdown period, you may see security vehicles patrolling sites.

Traffic management:

  • Single lane access managed by two-way traffic lights for approx. 125m on Sizewell Gap Road, Sizewell, Suffolk
  • Start Date: 8th December 2025
  • Duration: Approx. 2 weeks

Weekend work schedule:

  • Dates: Saturdays and Sundays 13th & 14th, and 20th & 21st December
